A sixth inmate who busted out of aNew Orleans facility in a high-profile jailbreakwas recaptured, the Louisiana attorney general announced on May 26. Lenton Vanburen is the latest escapee to be arrested after the jailbreak earlier this month, Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrillannounced on X. Vanburen, 26, was jailed on charges of parole violation and illegal possession of a firearm. He will face additional charges related to the escape, Murrill said. Vanburen was found in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, according to Murrill. The attorney general credited the Department of Justice's Fugitive Apprehension Unit, as well as the Louisiana State Police and the Baton Rouge Police Department after the arrest. Four escapees — Jermaine Donald, Derrick Groves, Leo Tate, and Antoine Massey — remain at large.
