Footage from the scene shows the vehicle fully engulfed in flames after pulling over to the side of the highway. Firefighters rushed to put out the blaze before it could spread. "The trailer was packed with 40,000 pounds of ribeye steaks," the Doolittle Rural Fire Protection District wrote on Facebook. "Unfortunately, they are all a total loss." Doolittle Rural Fire Protection District The Doolittle Rural Fire Protection District revealed that the incident was probationary firefighter Jenna Ulrich's first fire and that she tackled it alongside her firefighter father, Glenn Ulrich. The fire department shared aphoto of Jennausing a hose to fight the huge blaze. "Nothing says 'welcome to the fire service' like sending the probie to put out 40,000 pounds of flaming ribeye!" the Doolittle Rural Fire Protection District captioned the photo on Facebook. "Probationary Firefighter Jenna Ulrich is the only vegan on our department —so naturally, her very first fire involved a tractor-trailer carrying 40,000 pounds of ribeye steak 🐄 🐄 🐄 🐄 🐄," the caption concluded. Doolittle Rural Fire Protection District The fire department did not reveal the cause of the tractor-trailer fire, but confirmed it was their eighth vehicle fire in just three weeks.
